PaulAnn Baptist Church building stadium-style worship center
HOLY ANGEL — The PaulAnn Baptist Church in San Angelo is working on new additions to its facilities at 2531 Smith Blvd.
Quinn Banister, project manager, said they are building a stadium-style worship center that will accommodate 1,500 people.

An educational wing for children in kindergarten through fifth grade is also under construction.
The wing will have six new preschool classrooms and four new elementary classrooms, for a total of 24 classrooms at the church.
Banister said the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
“Our vision is to be a blessing to the community, and we just feel like having this facility here to meet and worship people will be a blessing,” Banister said.
Banister said the pandemic hasn’t necessarily sent the team back on building buildings, but it has made things difficult.
“It made it harder, but we’re getting there, and it’s going really well,” Banister said. “We have an excellent contractor, Lee Lewis, as well as an excellent architect. We are lucky to have these professionals on our team.”
Banister said he has helped feed the community three times during the pandemic, donating 3,000 meals to people in need.
“We need to feed them, pray for them and encourage them,” Banister said. “It aligns with PaulAnn’s vision, to be a blessing to the community. Our people exemplify this by helping in any way they can. They reflect Jesus and what he would like us to do for the kingdom.”
