Cardinal Czerny encourages the bishops of Senegal in their ministry
Cardinal Michael Czerny meets the Catholic bishops of Senegal in Dakar and visits a Jesuit center for Islamic-Christian dialogue.

The Bishops of Senegal met on Tuesday with Cardinal Michael Czerny at the Apostolic Nunciature in Dakar.
The interim prefect of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development visited Senegal on the 9and World Water Forum, March 21-26.
The Forum, the world’s largest water-related event, brings together participants from all walks of life to promote dialogue and facilitate access to water and sanitation.
Encourage the Senegalese Church
On the sidelines of the event, Cardinal Czerny also took the opportunity to meet members of the local Church.
On Tuesday, the Jesuit cardinal met with the bishops of Senegal at the Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See in Dakar.
Bishop Michael Banach, Apostolic Nuncio to Senegal, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and Mauritania, was also present for the meeting with the bishops of Senegal.
Cardinal Czerny also made a 70 kilometer trip to the town of Gandigal, located near the city of Mbour.
A community of Jesuits is working to create a center for religious studies and Islamic-Christian dialogue, which also hopes to become a spiritual center.
